Kevin Hinzman successfully negotiated a dismissal of his client’s Failure to Identify case. Using witness statements and information gathered from a review of police video, Hinzman convinced the DA that his client had not given the arresting officer an incorrect birth date as alleged. Hinzman also argued that the arresting officer had actually committed the felony offense of Tampering with a Governmental Record since he had taken, and not returned, the witness’s temporary paper driver’s license and used it to write notes about the client’s identifying information.
